Kansas trade/merchant token from the Gragg's in Valley Falls, Kansas,  1"x1".  Various brass chains, with lapis and jasper beads, work to create this 35" necklace.  1870-1920's saw the highest use of trade/merchant tokens, mostly for promotion and extending credit in rural towns.
