Ben Nevis Morning
Fort William, Scotland
Unframed archival pigment print
Ben Nevis on this misty morning lived up to its hulking reputation, the highest mountain in Scotland. With the calm reflections and delicate light rendering the scene in layers I knew I had a rare opportunity that morning. I waited a very long time for that bird, anxious that with the first breath of breeze the reflections would be gone. Taken for National Geographic this image has become one of my signature Scotland images, somehow distilling my adoration of the primal landscapes of the Highlands.
