Travel Season

It’s travel season and we wish you well if you’re heading out to explore.  It so happens that Jim is preparing for a couple of weeks in Scotland. Known for his body of work there, Jim will lecture aboard National Geographic Expeditions' Lord of the Glens as it cruises around Scotland’s Inner Hebrides, then east through the historic Caledonian Canal to Inverness. (And Kathy gets to tag along this time.) What’s at the top of their Scottish “gotta see it again” list?  That’s the gentle Isle of Iona, site of the storied Iona Abbey and its Celtic Christian standing crosses. Visitors come to reflect, work at the abbey and enjoy the walkable ways of the island.  Iona also is the home of Mhairi Killin, who carries on a 120-year family tradition in making jewelry on the island.  Jim and Kathy have visited Mhairi many times over last 25 years and that’s why the gallery carries Mhairi’s historically inspired sterling crosses.
